"On a different subject the new lights are AWESOME! Even people's moods have picked up despite the 37C temperature today."
This warehouse facility typifies why retrofitting high pressure sodium with energy-saving advanced metal halide has become popular in recent years. Existing 400W HPS luminaires were replaced with 320W pulse-start metal halide. The photo on the upper right was taken midway through the project and demonstrates the relatively large contrast between incumbent and replacement lighting systems. Without fail, customers switching from HPS to metal halide are equally, or even more delighted with the lighting quality improvements than they are with the energy and operational cost savings. |
