Industrial Lighting

In the industrial environment, visibility is critical.  Inadequate or inappropriate lighting can easily create a safety hazard. Additionally, lighting quality has been shown to directly impact productivity, error and scrap rates, absenteeism, worker morale, and the perceptions of visitors and management.

The nature of the industrial workplace also presents unique challenges.  Space usage typically dictates that lighting equipment be positioned high, and out of harm’s way.  Products must be capable of efficiently and effectively delivering light to relatively large expanses of the work area below and environmental factors such as dirt accumulation, temperature, corrosives, and physical abuse routinely test product integrity and reliability.

The initial cost of equipment is only a fraction of the total expense of powering and maintaining an industrial lighting system over its lifetime. As with other technologies, lighting equipment has improved over the years.  Significant energy savings are now possible, but getting the most out of an industrial lighting system involves a broad list of considerations. At Stingray, we take pride in understanding the complexities and rigors of industrial lighting.  Our products and lighting techniques provide unprecedented energy savings while improving lighting quality and minimizing maintenance.
